OK, if i am breaking my "retirement" and writing a blog post about this product, that means its amaze balls.
I would love to make a video about an eyeliner, but i'm sure all of you know how these types of liners work. This particular one i got is in the color midnight blue. It retails for about $23 CAD at Sephora, and it is online only at the moment. I had faith that Eyeko would make a good pencil gel liner and i was right. I am always looking for a good pencil liner that will just stay on and not much. Preferably one that i don't have to sharpen, because i am lazy. This is a clear winner in my books. Lets break it down:
It goes on smoothly
Rich in color
Stays on all day (i swear)
Removes quite easily for the staying power
Its automatic
Thats 5/5 in my books, not to mention bonus features such as coming with a sharpener at the end of the pencil, like most gel liners these days to get that tip nice and sharp for a crisp look. I rather use a pencil/gel liner for my everyday makeup for work any day. This is because you can fix it easier and it doesn't look overly dramatic, just very natural.
I couldn't say that the price is very cheap or anything, but liners around the same level of brand retails for around the same if not more. I got this during the VIB sale that happened a bit ago, so you know i tested this out for awhile. I love the color, its very stunning and dark enough to look almost black. There is a hint of sparkle to the color, but its not over baring at all and it just gives it something extra, without having glitter fall all over your face. There is a black color which i have ordered recently, but i am sure that is great as well.
Overall, very happy about this purchase and i would definitely recommend this to anyone.
UPDATE:
I ordered the black one for this as well afterwards and tried it out. I do not recommend that one at all. It does smudge on my eyes, its very obvious smudging too. I would stick with the midnight blue, i still love it a lot. Even though it stays on all day, it is easily removed compared to the black. Hard to remove, but it still smudges WTF?!?
Conclusion: Stick to MIDNIGHT BLUE~
